Learn From Someone who actually did it. At eighteen I was demoing Maybelline products in shopping centres and writing songs nobody had heard. Twelve years later I was the face of Maybelline - on the Piccadilly Circus billboard, in the TV advert, with my own song written for the campaign and pioneering beauty trends working alongside Maya Jama, Rihanna, Nikkie Tutorials, Charlotte Tilbury and Global brands as an artist, creative director and expert in beauty and social media.
In between: the lip tutorials a generation learned from, before "beauty creator" was even a job. I have grown to 2.7M+ followers across platforms, my own brands built and sold out - over 100,000 products to an audience I grew from nothing. Campaigns with the world's biggest beauty houses, who booked me, rebooked me, and whose products I sold out - and I learned exactly what that was worth. I posted for two whole years before the internet paid me anything. I've learned every business lesson the hard way, and I've sat on both sides of the table: the creator pitching, and the founder choosing.
I built Paid to Be You by asking myself one question: what did eighteen-year-old me, handing out flyers in that shopping centre, actually need? She didn't need another tutorial. She needed a permission slip, a room full of women who got it, a mentor and someone to show her the HOW - in order, with zero gate keeping. It is my purpose in this life to show others how to step into their light.
